Drafting is a very tedious task. It's often repeated and gets boring at times. Here I share with you reasons why you choose my service. Draftsman is a link between concepts / design and shop floor person. Proper dimensioned drawing saves a lot of query for the people on the shop floor and thus reduces downtime and saves cost.
1. QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
I am a qualified Mechanical Engineer, with Bachelors of Engineering degree from Osmania University Hyderabad, India. It's been certified by Engineers Australia. I further completed my course of Advanced Manufacturing Technology from Swinburne University, Melbourne.
Before I started on my own, I have worked as a draftsperson for 15 years from 2008 to 2023 across various industries. Starting from Agriculture, moving to mining, then farming, defence and heavy industries like cranes, trucks, containers. I have gained experience on different materials like Steel, Aluminium, stainless steel, Hardox, wear plates, mesh, reinforcing bars and gratings. I work on Inventor and AutoCAD to do modelling and I have been working on Inventor since 2011. So have a good hold of all features like animating the movements, showing position rep like door open and closed, Level of details (hiding unnecessary components for drawing clarity), derived parts, sheet metal, Bottom up or top down modelling.

2. FLEXIBILITY & PEACE OF MIND
I understand sometimes things change between where you started and where you end up. As a draftsperson, I have experienced changes at the last minute which might need to redraw and model the whole thing. It can be a costly change but I allow upto 2 changes at no extra cost to you. It can be a change in material, thickness, or distance between components. So, my quote may look XX hours and seem costly but the 2 modifications can be more than actual quote time. I can also do drawings on your provided template if needed.

Even if you have a draftsperson in house, they go on a holiday or take a break or resign, you have workload on hand. Alternatively, You can take on extra projects, knowing you have an additional draftsman to help.

3. NO DATA LOST
I Keep record of all projects undertaken. I never delete any project completed as it may be required at later stages. So if you want to reflect back or make changes for future builds, I can retrieve and send to you as emails are often too many if you are working on a big project. I also try to use numeric part numbers for my projects (with permission) so instead of giving description for making changes, you refer to just part number.
4. Privacy of data
No data will be shared or published without prior consent. If at all, I will add a watermark to prevent key info on the drawing. Sample of that is evident in the projects folder. Red text across 45 deg of page to cover key info. Rest assured your info is not shared.
5. NOT just drafting
Besides modelling and drafting, I also do other tasks.
1. DXF of folded plates or flat for plasma cutting. 2. I can prepare nesting of the plates based on thickness if plasma bed size is known. 3. Model supplied for viewing using Autodesk share option so you can view models without needing to have software to see. You can measure, rotate and walk around to see models in real life.4. Ability to import and export models from and to Inventor. I Have worked with models derived from Iron CAD, Solidworks, Revit and Advance steel. 5. Proposal models for approval or making decisions.

6. Quick turnaround time
Because of my experience, I am quick to get the job done so you have less waiting time and thus save on cost. I do the work in the first step by getting as much information as possible, if I can't find them in the drawings or sketches. I send the first part and model drawing so I get it right the first time before plunging into making drawings. It saves time when you have a big task. I choose to work on software I am very comfortable with and experienced in so I can get a job done quickly.
7. availability
I am available by phone, email, Facebook messenger (for sending videos from site), Google business, LinkedIn, Instagram, whatsapp, website and text. I am very transparent about my movements especially when i am travelling i will notify you in advance so you know to manage workload. I am usually out between 2pm to 4pm for personal reasons and don't work weekends.
8. HAND SKETCH RECORDS
If you maintain your designs, concepts and sketches in a handbook, there are high chances it might be lost over time. If you overwrite a dimension, it can be more confusing and difficult to read. Imagine, coffee spills while you are making things. All your data is lost. CAD, on other hand, can be reprinted. Hence you always have a record of drawing. You can record changes in CAD using revisions and version numbers with change history tabulated in the revision table along with changes and date stamps.
